Surrounded by Light
The concept that we’re surrounded entirely by light and exist as it simultaneously; it seems so arbitrary, phantom-like, but that's only because we’re looking for the wrong thing.
We seem to have trouble grasping that what we see is what being surrounded by light would look like. We imagine light as if from a bulb, but light is actually just movement. It looks like both brightness and darkness, it looks like you and me, it sounds like Mozart or our coworker’s annoying voice, smells like lilies and pizza, hides in wind patterns and sprouting seeds, feels like every locally good or bad thing we’ve ever experienced.
If we had the eyes to see it rightfully, we would be completely overtaken.
