(with our thoughts...)

if we compare ourselves
to anyone
anything
in this world
we will always lose
we cannot stand up
to a belief
in our own inadequacy
we cannot stand up
to the way this world
validates
supports
reflects
repeats
to us
precisely and only
what we believe
to be true
